Video, has been around for many years but is only recently that people are becoming aware of the enormous power that video actually holds and a video is something that is easy to make and very cost effective.
The start
I am writing this blog today with my latest experience in the area of video and what video can do. As you know, I am a manufacture of Audiophile quality cables used in the home and studio applications and am interested to promote my products.
Two week ago I was talking to one of my friends and he said why don’t you have a look at video and get something put onto You tube. Many years ago, I did in fact have my own video production company and I am familiar with video and what it can do but. To be honest I had forgotten all about video and just how powerful it was because I was concentrating on building up my website.
The cost
Twenty five years ago, I was making videos. I had three one inch video tape machines running together with three time base correctors. I had sophisticated switching and effects units. It cost about 100K to set up the video production studio and it was a very expensive business to be involved with and made the videos very expensive to produce.
Today, all you need is a good camera, a computer with good software and the know how to be able to produce a good video. This can be made and aired on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes and all the social networks. The cost has been reduced from Thousands of Euros to hundreds of Euros and this has opened up a new chapter in video production.
The trial
I decided to use my Macbook and used photos that I had on file and make a small video, put it on the social networks just to see what the response would be. Well it was better than I thought so I made another video and watched the response. I learned there is more to this than I first thought because when you make a video you have to know about SEO and keywords.
When I made my website this was something that I learned and so using the keywords in the same way in the video titles was not a problem and the video that I made two days ago already has 400 views which is more views than my website has!
Conclusion
A Video is exciting exposing and forthcoming in every way that you can imagine and is the only way for success when selling a product. I am setting up a video production side to Perkune audiophile cables and it will be called Perkune video productions.
Video is now very affordable and is easy to make a small video that can be aired on the social networks. Also the beauty is that once the video is playing then is is seen by the world and that is just continuous advertising so what more could you ask for?
